I've been toying with the idea of doing a covers album for about 5 years now. After much procrastination, preoccupation with other projects, and research on copyright legalities, I've finally made it a reality.

All songs were either covered with the permission of the songwriter or by obtaining the mechanical license via easysonglicensing.com (they also took care of the royalties). Copyright credits are listed on the info page of each individual song.

Early in the process, I ignorantly assumed that royalties aren't owed if you give the recording away for free, but it turns out that is not the case. Now, I'm staying true to my word about having the album available for free, but since I've already paid the royalties in advance, it would be much appreciated if you wanted to chip in a couple bucks to at least help me break even for how much it cost me to jump through all the legal hoops.
